Consider two charges, where one (+2.50 nc) is at the origin and the other (-6.25 nc) is at the position x = 2.90 cm. find the x-coordinate where a proton would experience zero net force. consider two charges, where one (+2.50 nc) is at the origin and the other (-6.25 nc) is at the position x = 2.90 cm. find the x-coordinate where a proton would experience zero net force.

x = - 5 cm

Explanation:

As we know that here the two charges are of opposite sign

So the electric field will be zero due to both charges at the position near to the smaller magnitude charge on the other side of the line joining two charges

so let say the position where proton will experience no force is left side of origin at distance "x" so we have

\frac{kq_1}{x^2} = \frac{kq_2}{(r+x)^2}

now we have

\frac{2.50 nC}{x^2} = \frac{6.25 nC}{(2.90 + x)^2}

square root both sides

\frac{1}{x} = \frac{1.58}{(2.90 + x)}

so we have

2.90 + x = 1.58 x

x = 5 cm

so the position lies at left side of origin so its x coordinate is x = - 5 cm

the skeletons of most mammals reach a certain size and then stop growing. however, many animals, including some mammals, keep growing throughout their lives. kangaroos, for example, just keep growing and growing until they die. also, the longer an animal lives the greater the chance it might catch some deadly disease.

Need asap ! what is the relationship between atmospheric pressure and the density of gas particles in an area of increasing pressure? (2 points) as air pressure in an area increases, the density of the gas particles in that area decreases. as air pressure in an area increases, the density of the gas particles in that area increases. as air pressure in an area increases, the density of the gas particles in that area remains constant. as air pressure in an area increases, the density of the gas particles in that area increases and decreases in an alternating pattern. 3. which of the following correctly describes a way in which earth's atmosphere interacts with the geosphere? (2 points) it contains gases that living organisms breathe. it contains gases that trap incoming solar radiation. it provides a medium for cycles that provide nutrients to living organisms. it provides a medium for water to move between earth's surface and the air. 4. which of the following is considered a drawback to using wind energy as a source of power?
