If 1/2 kg costs 40p, find the cost of 100 g and 600 g

100 g*(40p/ 1/2 kg)* (1 kg/ 1,000 g)= 8p.

600 g*(40p/ 1/2 kg)* (1 kg/ 1,000 g)= 48p.

Note that the units cancel out so you get the answer~
