This isn't school related but i do have a if anyone can take some time to read and maybe do. i bought this iphone 5 for around 70$ from a guy off craigslist. the phone hasn't been used for very long either. nearly brand new. when i put in my language, connected to the wifi and put where i lived it was supposed to allow me to create an id account. but instead it asked me to sign in to the id account that was linked. which wasn't mine. we contacted the original owner and he spent around 50$ to get the phone unlocked. that way i could choose my own phone plan, you know sprint, t-mobile etc. after 2 days he sent a picture saying that the account got unlinked during the process. i turned the phone off and back on but it still is asking me to sign into his account. any way to get that to stop happening?

I think you should give the phone back to the owner and try getting your money back because this might be a permanent problem , and the phone might have been used by the owner and he might have made an account on the iPhone . If you want to save money by keeping the phone , you can set up a appointment with The Apple Store and they might be able to help you out ! I hope this helps you , good luck .

I had bought an iPhone 6s from app like crag. and I met them at a t-mobile store and the worker told me to be careful buying it from other ppl bc it can be a scam and if it has an i cloud Id (i think)  already signed in that its worthless. If im talking about the same thing you are i hope that helped but its best to buy a phone from eBay where you can get your money back. I learned the hard way and 2 months later the phone i bought was reported stolen. >:(
