Expressed powers are stated by the constitution for the government.

Implied powers are powers that Congress have to carry out their job and responsibilities

Inherent powers are powers held by a sovereign state.

Elastic clause is a statement in the U.S Constitution that grants Congress the power to pass all laws necessary and proper for carrying out enumerated list of powers.

PART 2

An example of expressed power is allowing foreigners to become U.S citizens and the power to punish pirates who threatened the U.S. but also to invade foreign countries.

An example of implied powers is when Congress passes legislation on to national health care, trial and appeal, and Supreme Court Ruling.

An example of Inherent powers is regulating immigration, deport undocumented aliens and acquired territory.

Some examples of elastic clauses are congress creating taxes. declaring war and issuing money.
